Stealth Traders

As Mohamed and Ahmed rose from their bunks they were excited about their first day of trading as they had just received their gofast boat licence the day before. Being poor they couldn't afford much so their boat wasn't the biggest but it could store enough supplies for a decent amount of money. As they approached the harbor, the boys could just see the baron mountain tips of Iraq. The sun started to rise above the peaks while they started packing the boat with the supplies. They headed for Iraq. As they got further out in the Strait of Humas they could see more go fasts coming. Once they entered the port the air smelled of fresh fish and fuel from the boats. They moared the boat and filled the truck, as Akmed was driving Mohamed hitched on the back making sure nothing fell off. The engine stopped as they parked out side the markets. As they were unpacking 2 cats ran past to an old fishing Dow with a man in wearing jeans and a black jacket smoking a cigar.

Two hours had past since they got to the markets, they had sold every thing and were ready to go. As they were leaving to get back to their boat the man in black approached them with a sneaky look about him. The man was an arms trader who was wanted in  three different countries one of them including Oman. The man started to talk to Mohamed, "take the weapons!"he pleaded as he pulled a pocket knife from his pants. Ahmed and Mohamed had no choose but to obey the man. They piled the boxes of different sorts of guns and hand grenades in the overcrowded boat. The engine started and they were of before another 1000 boats sped out of the docks into the middle of the ocean. They had just entered international waters of Oman the engine started making funny noises and suddenly their engine blew they were stuck in the Strait of Humas.

The boys had no option but to call the arms trader and tell them the bad news he, started screaming at them through the radio in Arabic. The boys heard the horn of a ship they turned around, could this day keep on getting worse, apparently it could. In the disappearing sun light they could see an Musidan Navy patrol ship with its one of its RHIB off loading heading right for them"yala"screamed Ahmed at the dead engine. Now all they could do was wait to be arrested, finally the RHIB came to the boat and  was searched and the boys were apprehended. They boarded the ship and the diesel fumes filled their nostrils. Finally, the navy ship reached Oman. The two boys suffered were arrested and were sentenced to one hundred whips. The arms trader  was caught the next day and was executed.

What is in the Title

The title captured my attention in the way that it had a big centre point but it didn't relate to anything in the story. The title doesn't mean what it should, two other titles would be Terrorist Attack or Taken over

The Blurb on the Back Cover

The blurb on Red Centre did catch my attention in the way that the 2 parragraphs are in different corlors. I thought the blurb related to the story it described the main points of the book.

Electronic literature

In my opinion it is the same except you are reading online and not in a book.Yes, Inanimate Alice describes the story more than an normal novel, reading this is the same thing in the way that you would still be reading.

The Design of the Cover

The cover appeals to me in the way that it describes the setting, it shows the title as it is in a big font. I chose the novel because the Picture of airs rock and also because of the Author, as I like reading his books. The elements of a good cover is a good picture that stands out and a good title.

I once chose a book called bunker 10 because the cover made out it was full of action but really it was about 5 kids that lived in an orphanage and were killed by an explosion.

Learning About Authors

1. Have a look at what's on their site. How have they designed their site in a way that tries to appeal to their readers?
James Roy’s has a cool font for the writing and a lot of pictures and a cool back ground.

3. Every writer is different. Choose 2 different authors and find out what makes their style their own and what people enjoy about their writing.
James Roy writes about children books, He travels to find a subject. Michael Hyde Reserches his topics.

4. Think about the book you're currently reading (or maybe the previous one). Track down this author's website and record a summary about him/her. Perhaps there are some interesting tales they tell about their early writing days
www.chrisryanadventures.co.uk Chris Ryan was a SAS hero who was in the Gulf war and his men got captured and he escaped after that he wrote a book about it.

My Story I Wrote

Desert Dune
In the boiling hot desert of Abu Dhabi two boys were on an adventure and got lost. The two boys were called Murad and Zayed. After falling of their camels they decided to look for water. On their way they came across their biggest obstacle yet, it was a dangerous hole about 50m deep with a flimsy log from one edge to the other. Minutes after studying the hole and arguing over who will go first, they decided that Murad would go across. He was trying not to look down as he walked across the log. As Zayed stepped foot on the log it started to brake so Murad ran as fast as he could off it and Zayed followed. Once they got to the other side a huge sand dune stood before them. Having no energy left they crawled up the steep face of the dune. As they walked up the dune the sand Kept on sliding back down. Once they got to the top it was a sea of never ending dunes.

The sand under their feet was no longer hard and dry instead it was as soft as silk. While walking across the hot sand dune after dune they came across a Bedouin who directed the boys to an oasis. They were finally out of the never ending sea of dunes.
